Craps

Craps is a very popular game. Maybe you have been to a land based casino once and saw a lot of people around a table making a lot of noise. Well that has probably been the craps table. Craps Table

Craps is played at a table with two dice. The table has a special layout and on that lay out you will see all kinds of bets. On this page we will stick to the basic bets. There are more complex bets but we do not advise you to use these as they usually have a big house advantage. In a land based casino up to 16 players can join the craps table but in an online casino it is usually just you.
The shooter is the person that will roll the dice. He or she will also place the first bet on the ‘pass’ or the ‘don’t pass’ line.

Craps Bets

There are two main bets called the Pass line bet and the Don’t Pass line bet. These bets are the most important bets. It is actually very simple; each time the pass line bet wins the don’t pass line bet looses and vice versa.

Pass Line Bet; with this bet you are depended on the score of the dice;

if the dice roll comes out on a 7 or 11 it is called a natural and the pass line bet wins
if the dice roll comes out on 2,3 or 12 it is called Craps and the pass line bet loses
if the dice roll comes out on 4,5,6,8,9,10 then that number will become the point
if the point is rolled again before the 7 is rolled the pass line bet will win

Don’t Pass Line Bet; with this bet you actually bet that the shooter will lose:

If the dice roll comes out on 7 or 11 the don’t pass line bet will lose
if the dice roll comes out on 2 or 3 the don’t pass line bet wins
If the dice roll comes out on 12 it is called a push and you will get your money back
if the dice roll comes out on 4,5,6,8,9,10 then that number will be the point
if the 7 is rolled again before the point is rolled again then the don’t pass line will win

You will see that at the craps table there are many other bets, for example you can bet on every roll of the dice. These bets will not affect the rounds themselves. Game play

The game will start with the shooter placing the first bet on the pass or don’t pass line. In an online casino it is just you. After that you can click ‘roll’ and the dices will start rolling. The first roll is called the ‘come out’ and if this roll is 2,3,7,11 or 12 either the pass line bet or the don’t pass line bet wins. But in the case the come out is 4,5,6,8,9,10 a point is made and you will see the ‘on’ button lighten up. The shooter now needs to roll this point again before the 7 is rolled to win. If he rolls a seven before the point is rolled you will lose. During this the bet you made will stand until either one of the two outcomes.
